Giving Ethan Typlosion is boring as fuck, he always struck me more as a Feraligatr kid anyway.>b-but Silver needs an edgy starterHe just swiped a Pokeball, he probably didn't even know what he grabbed until he used it to battle you. I prefer the irony of him ending up with a more support oriented mon and I think it works better as a catalyst for character growth.

I actually prefer Feraligatr from the trio and I would prefer to see it with the mc. And would give interesting stakes for the battle with Red, that I headcanon as having a Charizard.
