Do you miss Pokemon before objectmons become a thing?
>>58190757I miss when objectmons were a thingnow its just magic-animalslop
>>58190768we literally just had a shitty stonehenge object-mon with a ms-paint smiley face slapped on it.
>>58190757I prefer those to a fucking seal called SEEL.Who on earth likes Goldeen? It's she shitter Magikarp
>>58190807where's our stool and throne mons? where's our fan and windmill mons? where's our coat mon?where's our umbrella mon?
>>58190845The umbrella one could happen at some point since that's one of the more well known yokai
Magnemite and Magneton are so cool. It feels like something alive despite being made entirely of metal, and the evolution feels the most sensible of the get more heads kind.
>>58190757Objectmons have always been based, but as with anything there are good ones and bad ones. Magnemite = good, vannillish = badVoltorb = good, klingklang = badRevaroom = good, Bronzong = badIt really is that simple
>>58190870Bronzong = good
Didn't you hear? Voltorb is a nut now.>>58190870Bronzong le bad? Why so?
>>58190853God please no.
>>58190864That's because it looks robotic rather than some object with a face drawn on it.
>>58190853God please yes.
>>58190853Based
>>58190757The haunted furniture.
>>58190853I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet. It'll probably be a weirdly good mono-stage ghost/steel, with like high speed and good def or spdef and good spatk, and a dumb signature move.
>>58190870>klingklang = bad
>>58190757I miss when "objectmons" pertained to the core theme of tech/industrializationVoltorb lineMagnemite linePorygonKoffing lineGrimer lineThen the theme gets reinforced even further with Mewtwo and the fossils
>>58190757Depends on their implementation. Magnemite is great, it’s not a singular object and has a bunch of stuff connected together as well as the single eye oddness. Voltorb and Electrode fail at what they’re meant to do, they’re too big.
>>58191122
>>58191127Kek, that looks ridiculous.
>>58190853Yokai Watch did it first
>>58191160>Youkai watch invented umbrella youkais
>sugimori art for three mons>anime key art for one monGenuinely, why do people do this? Is it because they have an IQ below 105 and so therefore can't distinguish art styles?
Congrats on being smart, anon! You are very special!
>>58190757>A Mimic>And a Beholder>Modeled into electric-type creatures fitting into powerplant aesthetics.>With rats (Pikachu) and Ogres (Electabuzz) as two another obvious shoutouts to classic DnD/RPG enemies that one can encounter in dungeon.>The powerplant in question is labirynth-like dungeon.>Hell, there's even an obligatory boss encounter at the end of said dungeon. It's kino. These Pokemon were designed with clear purpose and place in Gen I environment and even count as nod to tabletop gaming.
>>58191246True, Kanto is perfect and have no flaws whatsoever
>>58191253Nah, it had quite some flaws - for example I can totally imagine that not every people can connect the dots between vending machines at Celadon Dept Store and Saffron guards, but overall there's a lot of thought put into design of Kanto. Things just fit neatly and feel organic.
>>58191266>not every people. Not all people*. Sorry for my ESL I'm kinda sick and I slept 0,5 hours this night. Either way, you got my point.
>>58191085>When Meryl's on the phone
>>58191127something about that Voltorb turn feels very Aqua Teen Hunger Force
Seriously, Foot-Washing Manor (Ashiarai Yashiki) as a Pokemon when?
>>58190757>Do I miss early installment weirdness?No.
>>58191717Never
>>58191930shit taste
>>58190870They locked me in a room, a revaroom, a revaroom with ralts
>>58191127See, Pokemon DO shrink!Wait, where'd the Pokeball button go?
