Would you like it if trade-evo Pokemon got a second branching evo that didn't need to trade (maybe a stone evo instead)? For instance, Haunter could also evolve into "Miasmar" with a stone or other such item, where he reverts to a more gaseous, ethereal form.

I'd rather we get rid of trade evolution.
Trade evolution is a kind of a holdover. They need to change the way they try to get people to play together, I think. Surprise trades were a mistake. It's just an endless slew of hacked mons renamed to advertise YouTube channels to children

I think it would be fun if haunter got a mega evolution that made it faster and stronger than normal gengar at the obvious cost of being a weaker mega overall. But it'll keep levitate so it'll be better than gengar. Lmao.
