Allright, /vp/, who takes this?
>>
>>58192486
Anyone who cares is on /co/
>>
Yugi by far. A better question would be, Ash or Yuma?
>>
>>58192486
It depends heavily on how exactly this will be like. Most of all, how they determine the logic of two series should affect each other.
>>
>>58192504
Remember. These two should have EASILY LOST against Red and Charizard in the Pokémon VS Digimon episode. But won because Death Battle so heavily downplayed and misrepresented the Pokémon side.
>>
>>58192486
This battle has many questions to it
>is it a Pokemon battle or duel monsters
>is it a Yami no game
>does the fighter that doesn't have a team have enough prep time to assemble a team of their own
Anyway, Yugi wins, not only is "heart of the cards" literally cheating, but Yugi is canonically a 200+ IQ genius who assembled a deck that took down all 3 Egyptian god cards and defeated Yami Yugi in a duel of the fates. With that kind of planning he could clear every trainer in the series without even trying.
>>
>>58192486
This reminded me of something very obscure lmfao. It was apparently on a channel named "Kids WB". The part I am talking is at 8:00, when Yugi and Ash fight.

Wow. That post I made, the post I was replying to got deleted so quickly, that I ended up replying to a now deleted post, I don't think that's happened to me before. But I still meant what I said. Pokémon side should have won in the Pokémon VS Digimon episode.
>>
>>58192486
Who would win in a 1v1 brawl is the better question. Atem has undefined magic powers but Ash has crazy anime protag feats.
>>
>>58192486
>A game made for children, played by adult children
>A game made for children, played by hood-bred domestic niggas
Gee, I dunno
>>
>>58192554
I deleted it because I remembered that same Poke vs Digi episode you mentioned already existed and felt it was unnecessary lol
>>
>>58192486
pretty shit match up because yugi just objectively stomps, he has 3 gods and shadow game mindfuckery bullshit
>>
>>58192486
Ash wins the 1v1, but in a Pokemon battle he's utterly hopelessly outmatched by the literal King of Games.
>>
>>58192591
Does that imply Yugi is best at all games? Could he beat LeBron at Basketball?
>>
>>58192486
CHADtem defats him and then fucks his girls in front of him
>>
>>58192631
>Does that imply Yugi is best at all games?
yes
>Could he beat LeBron at Basketball?
yes
>>
>>58192499
Pokemon can move freely and attack. Duel Monsters can only move and attack in turn and their power depends on their Att point and Def point.
Pokemon Battle and Dueling isn't comparable for a fight.
>>
>>58192631
That is quite literally what Yami Yugi does in the early manga before it starts focusing on the card game.
>>
>>58192655
Lenron beat Godzilla at Basketball though. Are you telling me Yugi could beat Godzilla?
>>
>>58192591
>Ash wins the 1v1
No high schooler would lose in a fightfight with a 10 year old.
>>
>>58192792
Isn't Yugi like the same height or close?
>>
This comparison is incredibly uneven. And not in either one's favor.
Duel Monsters is a turn-based strategy game with holographic monsters. Pokemon battling in the anime is a fast-paced melee requiring actual raising and training, and pure luck/grit can turn the tables.

Even more than other death battles, this one isn't comparable.
>>
>>58192806
monsters are real tho
>>
>>58192811
Yeah, in Pokemon's world. In Yugioh's world they're spirits taking form as monsters, reborn as a turn-based card game. Do you need to raise your Summoned Skull? Practice aiming? Calm it down when it gets frustrated? Give it treats when it does well?
>>
>>58192486
Is this going to be the biggest DB pokemon humilation ritual since the digimon fight?
>>
>scalingsissies still deflecting

>>58192828
>I want my series to win and I want you to be wrong.
>>
>>58193735
And what series is that?
>>
>Yugi challenges Ash to a game, something as innocent as rolling dice
>Ash, being a compulsive idiot, agrees
>Ash loses the game for obvious reasons
>MIND CRUSH
Explain to me how Ash wins against a possessed mind fucking anti-hero vigilante that regularly ruins peoples lives because they were mean to one of his friends?
>>
>>58192631
Tabletop games and games of chance specifically but yes.
>>
>>58193720
>NO BUT ASH JUST PUNCHES YUGI AND HE EXPLODES BECAUSE ONE TIME IN THE ANIME HE CARRIED A POKEMON THAT CANONICALLY WEIGHS 9999999 POUNDS AND THAT MAKES HIM CANON STRONG NO I DON'T CARE THAT THE ANIME STAFF PROBABLY JUST DIDN'T GIVE A SHIT AND MADE A MISTAKE FUCK YOU
Ash will probably win because he jumped onto Team Rocket's air balloon one time because the ashime is fucking retarded.
>>
>>58194105
Mind crush isn't some X-Men psychic shit tho, it harms the evil in the heart
>>
>>58192486
I don’t know I stopped watching these things when Toph beat Gaara
>>
>>58192565
It’d go as well as Ash vs Mewtwo. Even with the more limited powers Atem used the puzzle for compared to Pegasus’ eye, Marik’s rod, or Bakura’s ring, it would still leave Ash no chance.

>>
>>58192486
Again, we need parameters. Is Ash playing the card game or is Atem summoning his monsters? Either way, Atem wins as he Millennium Puzzle literally rigs things in his favour.
>>
>>58192499
In what dimension is that a better question?
Yuma has the power of fucking Zexal to rewrite reality.
>>
whats the pokemon equivalent of full fiendsmith combo
>>
>>58194629
Death battle is using everything in your arsenal to kill the opponent. So Ash would use his Pokemon, physical feat and aura bs against Yugi/Atem’s deck and millennium items.
>>
>>58194110
Wrong.

In Season 0 he beats a golfing pro with a fucking slingshot to hit a trickshot into a hole in one.

Same season he destroys a roof with a yoyo trick, perfect throws the millennium puzzle so that it's strap would hold a bottle in the air, etc.

Dude is GOATed at anything that can be contextualized as a "game"
>>
>>58194105
That isn't how mind crush works, and Atem stopped using it after the DK saga because Yugi started to think he was evil.

Besides it wouldn't even work on Ash for a number of reasons, how do you think Kaiba escaped it while still remaining an asshole?
The spirit of blue eyes pulled him out, you don't think any of Ash's friends/pokemon could do the same?
>>
>>58194702
>you don't think any of Ash's friends/pokemon could do the same?
I mean none of them are magical ancient Egyptian spirit incarnations of his past life's lover so no.
>>
>>58194826
no, but I'm sure lucario's aura connection bullshit could work something out
>>
>>58192758
Yami has literal magic powers.
>>
>>58194702
>Atem stopped using it after the DK saga because Yugi started to think he was evil.
doesn't matter, ash would never willing kill either but it doesn't matter because it's death battle, both characters use everything in a battle to the death even if it wouldn't be in their usual personality to do so
goku fucking obliterates the earth in his last death battle even though he specifically requests to fight somewhere there's no life around at multiple points in the series and gets pissed at gero killing a bunch of innocent people
>>
Seems to be a lot of people in here who've never read the Yugioh manga.
>>
>>58192791
At basketball, yes.
>>
>>58192792
Ash is clearly superhuman. He's a retard at battling, but the motherfucker can jump 100+ feet into the air and land with no issue, throw massive logs that weigh 1000+ lbs like a fucking javelin, and shrug off flamethrowers, lightning bolts, and most other forms of damage that could take out an elephant.

Atem is getting dogged in a fist fight against Ash. He has no chance. But his summons put him in a clearly advantageous position. It's like how Luffy would clobber the shit out of Reed Richards in a fist fight, but then Mr. Fantastic just pulls out his Ultimate Nullifier and erases Luffy from existence.
>>
>>58194702
Atem not using it because of personal reasons doesn't mean he won't use it in Death Battle. That's just how the series works.

In any case, he'll probably win by throwing Ash into the Shadow Realm, picking up his scattered cards, dusting off his clothes, and walking off like nothing happened. Calling it now.

Mind Crush (the "harms the evil in the heart" attack) was a one-time thing. The Pharaoh is fully capable of ripping Ash's soul out of his body, or causing him to suddenly die in a bizarre accident, or even cursing him to forever see all onigiri as donuts, as long as he defeats him in a game first.

Regular Yugi has also canonically triggered a Digimon evolution through the power of courage and friendship (into an unprecedented new form modelled after the Pharaoh, no less), so he'd presumably make a good Pokémon trainer if he had the chance.
