Why do they keep getting worse?
>>58198502Because you keep buying it anyway
Nah2 > 3 > 5 > 4 > 6 > 1 > 7 > 9 >>>>>>>>>> 8
>>58198502Why don't you do better.
>>58198502Gen 9 is the worse
>>58198502You’re just too old. Greninja and the rabbit are wildly popular among zoomers and gen alpha.
>>58198502They aren't though. The bottom was gen 5.
Furries
>>58198502I think the downfall of the starter evolutions started around Gen 7. Now the evolutions are pandering to the waifus and LGBT fanbase. DEI is ruining Pokemon.
>>58198502Because they're different art styles.
>>58198502they hit rock bottom in the middle though
Remember when /vp/ was almost unanimously excited when the Gen 8 starters were revealed?
>>58198664Before they showed the final evos
I like the first 7 generations + Hisui. Galar and Paldea really shit the bed
>>58198502the same reason we humans keep getting worse every gen
>>58198547>>58198572me when i'm wrong
>>58198864hi sagie, those posts are right
>>58198502Why didn't you include the Scarlet and Violet starters? You know, unless you're being a disingenuous faggot and hoped nobody would notice.
>>58198879>If they disagree it’s sagefagMental illness, like Unova haters
>>58198543Only among tasteless zombies that consume whatever is shilled and compfags with no dignity. Everyone hated their designs on reveal until Greninja's ability was explained and Cinderace was shilled as the next Greninja/Lucario.
>>58198914It's easy to assume OP couldn't find a picture with the most recent set, so the implication is still there even without those in the picture.
>>58198502Grass was dropping constant 10/10 designs and then plateaued hard with Chespin family, 2/10s across the board. It really never recovered.
>>58198502I unironically asked myself this question the other day. Not necessarily the starters but the generations as a whole. People seem to argue that generations 4-6 is where the series began to suck. I personally used to always blame James Turner. James Turner, surprisingly, has only designed about 10 pokemon. His best work is Shadow Lugia, but in my opinion, that's just a fan made spin on a classic pokemon. (I feel this way about any new form to an old pokemon that isn't just a basic evolution.) During my searches, I noticed from generations 4-6 that the series began hiring more and more artists. Some pokemon dont even have a single creator. They simply just have the entire team as credit to creating that pokemon. With this, can you imagine if someone stood at the door of a museum handing out art supplies to everyone with a ticket? What do you think classic art would look like if an entire room of people made it instead of one person? Yes, Ken and James were directors at some point, but they were allowing Japanese artist from Manga, TV shows, video games, etc, that had NOTHING to do with pokemon.
