What went wrong?
>>58200479Terapagos is the closest pokemon has ever get to Majora's mask, it was all mysticism kino instead of big and huge power level dick measure
Terapogos is better than basically all of those though.
>>58200487How is Majora’s Mask not a power scaling nightmare
>>58200479? she perfectly follows the gen 6-8 design philosophy
>58200524>she
Ohmori copying his own homework and only slightly changing it + some graphic designer at Game Freak setting the saturation too high for SV + some creature designer making a deviantart eyerape sparkleturtle + gaijin earrape + Horizons.TL;DR EVERYTHING WENT WRONG
>>58200518In what way? Majora gets clapped by young link. His major feast is making the moon fall yeah, but after 3 full days of casting the same spell, and you don't even need the master sword to defeat him like Canon
>>58200479>actual plot, myth spreaded all over the region, existence heavily hinted from start to end of the game, actually plays a massive part in the storyvs>lol powerscaling big ugly dragons dragons and more dragons you see they are le big and menacing!!
>>58200526>>58200524The game one is male but the anime one is female
>>58200479cool world turtle
>>58200479she's better than most of the edgeslop in the picture.
>>58200479Im not a fan of the turtle but it's a step in the right direction in terms of legendaries. We need to stop adding more dragons and large monstrosities
You thinking what they add needs to adhere to your autistic determination of what's acceptable. You're also ignoring canonically, the wee fucker's power outscales at least two of the leggos there and all are outscaled by Giratina (as an Origin-level Legendary), but somehow the plebs added after that are ALSO edgetard AND OP are acceptable, despite their clear and obvious inferiority.
>>58200479I like it, but only as a regular mon. As the pokemon which represents Tera, it kinda feels underwhelming. There was some setup with the book I guess. Also it came with the Stellar type, which was kinda disappointing and only a buff to Contrary users. But it really feels like it was supposed to be very marketable, especially with its "baby" form and because they included it in the anime.I kinda like it, but compared to the other Gen 9 legendaries, personally it is in the bottom half and just cannot compete with both the raidons and the Treasures of Ruin.
>>58200567Terapagos itself doesn't do anything though, it's basically a glorified battery pack. Terastillization and Tera Energy are both barely even explained at all and the story ends with them just being happy fun time magic with no rules or restrictions. Terapagos itself is a complete non-character who just changes hands from being used by the professor to being caught by Kieran to having a meltdown just because, said meltdown not even being any extinction level event a la Groudon and Kyogre and rather just an immediate thread to the player character (an underground earthquake).Terapagos is so nothing, there was a lot of hype around it and its lore before the second DLC but now that the dust has settled, there's absolutely nothing to say about Terapagos. Ogrepon is a much more liked Pokemon AND objectively better as a Legendary Pokemon because it actually affected the land and culture around it by its own actions (which made it a literal legend) rather than a byproduct of the energy it gives off while asleep.tl;dr Terapagos is a plot device in Pokemon form, the mystery of it was much more interesting than the real thing, which was absolutely nothing of note
>>58201106I don't think it was intended to "compete" with them though. Raidons were clearly presented one way, the Ruins were clearly designed and presented differently to that (edgetard backstory, but top-notch designs and as a collective) and Terapagos different to they instead, a cutesy little thing that ALSO happened to be an eldritch-tier nuke and able to unwittingly influence a large area of a region from its underground lair. If they'd designed it to look as powerful as its effects, it would throw off what they were aiming for (they intended it to be an unwitting side effect of its ability, rather than a conscious effort on its part), for it to be a little thing that happened to be immensely powerful, as a kind of discount Mythical (its in-battle form has a stat spread equal to 600 and while not an even 100 in each, is only slightly off in distribution).
>>58201162When I said "compete", this is not what I meant. I know they fit very different roles. What I meant was just my personal ranking of Gen 9 legendaries, which is why I said "personally", I just love the raidons and the treasures so much more than Terapagos, which I think is ok."Cute thing but extremely powerful" isn't really my cup of tea (except Jirachi and Chi-Yu for Pokemon), especially since it has lost its novelty a long time ago.But since they have different purposes, they have different fans I guess.
>>58200479>Zygarde pretending he's not a little baby toolmao
>>58201149>Terastillization and Tera Energy are both barely even explained at all You want game freak to explain magic? Game freak failed at explaining more about the origin of Terapagos, they should have made a video like Pecharunt, but your complaints make no sense at all
>>58201149We got it you got filtered and didn't get it not even after the crystal pool event
Everything
>>58200487This. It's kino. All the "FUCKHUGE GODLIKE EDGY POKÉMON" legendaries are fucking gay.Although I wished the Stellar form was a bit bigger.
>>58200851>world turtleIt's not.
>>58200567But that’s not true—>double-check>it actually is true, almost all of the third legendaries have fuck-all lore associated with them barring the town next to their lairs or whatever Gamefreak…
>>58200567>Rayquaza is the guardian of Hoenn/Earth’s atmosphere and causes Groudon and Kyogre to stop fighting and saved Earth from a meteor twice>Giratina is part of the creation trio and was banished to the distortion world, and even drags Cyrus to stop his plans>Kyurem was part of the original dragon and was used by team plasma for their terrorist opperations>Zygarde is the guardian of Earth and arbiter of life and death, and is getting a whole game about it>Necrozma is an alien from an alternate universe that ate all the light in that universe and seeks to consume more light in alternate universes>Eternatus is…a big alien dragon that invaded one region years ago and causes Dynamax>Terapagos is…a turtle that causes Terastalization and…doesn’t do anything elseEverything before Gen 8 had lore. In fact Terapagos has the least amount of lore of all the sister box legendaries. Even Ogerpon has more lore.
>>58203603>>Zygarde is the guardian of Earth and arbiter of life and death, and is getting a whole game about itAt least try to lie convincingly
>>58200479it’s forgettable and gay looking
