Hello, I am back with another Pokémon game designer, as I am on my own quest to figure out where "jobmons" came from. I am the author of the James Turner thread if anyone enjoyed that one. If this one gets enough attention I'll do another tomorrow or so.

Today I wanted to talk about Hitoshi Ariga, a Pokémon designer that was well known for his works in creating art for the Pokémon Trading Card Game during 2011. He began creating new Pokémon for X&Y. Like I stated in my last thread. Gamefreak began hiring more and more video game designers exactly whenever people began complaining about the designs during generations 4-6. Ariga also had a DeviantArt where he drew Pokémon in 2010 before being picked up as a card artist. Ariga is known for creating the following artwork for the Pokémon video game series.

Pokémon
Pangoro, Honedge, Doublade, Aegislash, Inkay, Malamar, Tyrunt, Tyrantrum, Amarua, Aurorus, Mega Beedrill, Alolan Geodude, Alolan Graveler, Alolan Golem, Alolan Grimer, Alolan Muk, Grubbin, Charjabug, Vikavolt, Minior, Drampa, Necrozma's draft, Ultra Necrozma as a "helper?" Rookidee, Corvisquire, Corviknight, Dracozolt, Arctozolt, Dracovish, Arctovish, Hisuian Sneasel, Sneasler, Nacli, Naclstack, Garganacl, Espathra, Flutter Mane, Ogerpon (all 4)

Trainers
(the following are only redesigns from ORAS)
Tabitha, Courtney, Magma Grunts (M&F) Matt, Shelly, Aqua Grunts (M&F) Sidney, Phoebe, Glacia, Drake.

Similar to James Turner I feel as if these Pokémon are very hit or miss. What do you think of Hitoshi Ariga's contributions to the series as a whole? Do you like his Pokémon? Courtney, Shelly, and unfortunately Ogerpon are very popular as waifu's. Do you own any of his trading cards? Thanks for reading this far.

Do you know what happens to corporations when they "globalize"? When a company expands to other markets other than where they originated in?

Do you know that pokemon "globalized" back in the beginning in Green, Red, and Blue?

His X and Y stuff is pretty good, Pangoro, Aegislash, Malamar and Tyrantrum are all good monsters. His sole mega is one of 4 I don't hate.
His "silly" designs lose me alolan geodude's line is lazy and the gen 8 fossils are a fun concept that I think was pushed a bit too far. Drampa is fine and good point for "silly" pokemon to land.
The guy shouldn't make anymore female leaning pookemon because those are his worst Aurorus, Sneasler and Espathra are all rancid.
His character design is fine Courtney and Shelley are hot so mission accomplished.

All of his gen 6 designs hit it out of the park
Gen 7 is a mixed bag
Then he goes back to being mostly good again with the exception of any “funny” Mon, but I don’t know if that’s due to him doing funny things poorly or just due to my strong dislike of designs that only exist for memes to begin with

Ariga is based and op is a nigger faggot

It’s because you’re autistic

>didn't design any gen 3 mon
Can't make it higher than B tier

IIRC it had some fake news. I'll check again if I have the time.
