>>58213649There's tons of ideas. Mine is a grave digger. You'd expect it to be a Ghost type gym leader but then you're hit with Sandslash and Krookodile.

Desert nomad. The town is in the middle of the desert of the region and all the houses have mud rooms (dust rooms?), and the people are typically out in random parts of the surrounding wilds instead of inside. The gym leader needs to be found before you challenge the gym, he's off doing some nonsense in a giant sand pit.Hippowdon and a new sand-themed mongolian death worm mon (ground/poison) are his main pokemon.

>>58213649Just a guy that likes to walk in a scenic town basically a fit hiker like the Alolan version of its class name, his Pokemon are based on traveling around and befriending pokemon along the trail.Gym is an outdoor garden were you go around to find the gym trainers on the trail, then at the end is the gym leader.Starts the battle with a Sandaconda for sand spit, has a Toedscruel, Steelix and a Mudsdale, Rematch adds Gastrodon and Torterra, his ace is mega Steelix in the Rematch.Closest thing we have to a hiker gym representative are Brock, Grant and funny enough Ramos. It would be nice to have a ground version of this concept.
