I want to an electric/water barrel-eye fish
>>
Housefly, fruit fly, drain fly, whatever
>>
>>58214408
Elephant fly
>>
>>58214402
There is a dire lack of shark pokemon.
>>
>>58214436
This, is Sharpedo really the only one we have?
>>
>>58214402
digger bee-ground/bug with levitate
ladybug larva-pure bug type
sponge-pure water type
tree cattle-bug/normal type
lantern fruit-grass/fire type
>>
>>58214402
On the topic of deep sea life, I want a scary angler fish not cuddly toy shit like Lanturn.
>>
>>58214436
>>58214457
Surprised there isn't a hammerhead shark pokemon.
>>
>>58214402
Give me a water/dragon snake-neck turtle lake monster and i'd be happy.

Incineroar

Tully monster fossil. Also that hallucigenia fossil.
>>
>>58215065
>Kangashkan
doesn't look like a kangaroo, looks more like a dinosaur
>Scyther
doesn't look like a praying mantis at all lmao, more like a velociraptor
>Lanturn
it's too squishy and not like an anglerfish whatsoever
>Lapras and possibly the Arcto- part of the Galar fossils
lapras is a turtle, and
>hurr durr half of a dino counts
no it doesn't
>The -Zolt part of the Galar fossils
see above
>Kabuto and Kabutops
uhhhhhh I guess so kinda. We need another though cus these are barely like it.
>Mudkip
doesn't look anything like a mudskipper
>Incineroar
that's a man in a suit, and it's an evolved cat not a tiger lol
>>
>>58215066
I'd take opabinia over hallucigenia, but some more freakazoid fossils would be cool. Could also see one based on that one pattern we see all over the world, idr what it's called but the thing scientiats suspect is a burrowing pattern for an animal that we've never found fossilized with it before.
>>
>>58214494
>Lake monster turtle
You're just asking for a regional lapras.
>>
>>58215082
>doesn't look like a kangaroo, looks more like a dinosaur

Those are fair, especially Kangashkan, but Scyther is as close of a mantis you will get (there's Lurantis too, but that is an orchid mantis).
>it's too squishy and not like an anglerfish whatsoever
Agree, but is the closest you will get unless they give it a more intimidating evolution.
>lapras is a turtle
It's a mixture of a turtle and a plesiosaur. I do agree I would love a proper plesiosaur Pokemon. Or even better, a pliosaur.
>hurr durr half of a dino counts
Fair for Arcto-, but -Zolt is literally a Velociraptor. If Gamefreak ever feels benevolent they will release the complete Pokemon one day and we'll have a proper raptor Pokemon.
>that's a man in a suit, and it's an evolved cat not a tiger lol
still the closest you'll get to a tiger Pokemon.

My dream Pokemon would be a fossil who starts as a small, herbivorous theropod and depending if you focus its moveset on attack or defense it would evolve into a Therizinosaurus Pokemon (Rock/Steel) or a Deinocheirus (Rock/Fighting) Pokemon respectively.
>>
>>58215111
why are they
>the closest we'll get
when they consistently add often-asked-for animals like a dolphin after years of people saying
>kyogre is the closest you'll get
lmao?
also I really want a separare angler mon tbqh, give it some crazy typing like Steel (for the jaws) and Fire (for the light) and an ability that lets it hit anything "trapped" by it (like with mean look or a different trapping move) with tons of bonus damage
>>
>still no iguanodon and megalosaurus pair that evolves from the crystal palace design into a modern design
we should have got these in gen 8... it was going to be perfect...
>>
>>58215129
Kyogre is based on an orca, not a dolphin (technically it's a dolphin on behalf that orcas are dolphins, but I'm not gonna get into that).
>also I really want a separare angler mon tbqh, give it some crazy typing like Steel (for the jaws) and Fire (for the light) and an ability that lets it hit anything "trapped" by it (like with mean look or a different trapping move) with tons of bonus damage
That would be cool ngl.
>>
>>58215142
yeah but the point is that we didn't have a dolphin mon for like 8 gens and everyone said kyogre was close enough
glad you liked my idea lmao
>>
>>58215169
I get your point, but the think is Kyogre and Palafin are based in different animals, things like Incineroar are literally the animals you mentioned (in this case a tiger). It sucks it's a fucking furry, but Gamefreak sold themselves to them long ago. That being said, if one day there's a tiger Pokemon that doesn't looks like the wet dream of some barafag I'll be very happy.
>glad you liked my idea lmao
It's a cool concept, and I like the idea of a marine animal that isn't water type, it's original.

orcas ARE dolphins, and people always used to say that we did have a dolphin pokemon, it's kyogre, and that we won't be getting a normal dolphin mon because of it. You can check the archives people eventually started specificaing "bottlenose dolphin" instead of just saying dolphin LOL

Why do these threads always go down like
>What animal would you like to see handled next?
>I want [animal already represented]
>that already exists
>well I want a better one!

I get the sentiment but you fags can just create another thread like “Animals with poor Pokemon representations” or some shit like that because it’s not what these threads are about.

Capybara
>>
>>58218343
Such a try hard…
>>
>>58218303
they should have introduced them in gen 7, should have had a jurassic park island with non-rock variants of all of the fossil mons up until that point. Bug/Water kabuto and anorith line, water/grass lileep line, water/steel omanyte line, dragon/flying aerodactyl, rampardos staying pure rock lmao, bastiodon becoming ground/steel or pure steel, carracosta and archeops gaining dark instead of water, tyrantrum being dragon/anything, auroras can also be retyped to ice/anything.
>>
>>58218328
Growing up I always thought that Nidoran was meant to be a poison capybara
>>
>>58218361
Insane and bizarre. How old are you? Most kids would never think of a capybara first unless you were a kid in the 2010's and even then it seems unthinkable considering nidoran's huge ears, nobody would make that connection unless you were raised by a tablet.

I would love if there were a Pokémon based on the cockatiel (or even just used it as part of a designs inspiration or something.)
>>
>>58219158
it wouldn't change anything really, just because an animal is native there doesn't mean it would suddenly be at the forefront of one's mind eclipsing other, still more readily recognizable, better fits.
