>>58229768>Ruining kek you wish
>>58229773>a dragon with a pillar-like shapehuh?
>>58229773Megas are mostly wasted since most of them should have just been extra evolutions or new standalone variants instead of taking up a mega slot and their item. That gimmick actually did better in singles where players didn't have to pretend with GF that all megas were equally interesting and viable. Some were just retarded though, not arguing that.Dynamaxes were fucking stupid, the BIGGER design with those stupid low poly clouds was so fucking ugly, every gameplay mechanic was cancer in both formats. Hitting through protects, full power flying moves raising speed, gigantamax starters with those gay overpowered moves. It all sucked, it was all ugly, it was never fun. The worst generation gimmick. Also I love how that pic sucks off BIG pikachu with the stylized lightning bolt, but the same poster would shit on mega manectric.Z-moves were kind of like megas but with more variety and even harder to account for, also hitting through protect. The only well designed and fun gimmick after all of these years has been terastallization, and I'm sad to see it go away for more fucking megas that could have been new standard mons.
>>58229747at least I could use megas on whichever Pokemon I caught instead of having to catch a hyper specific one>But DLC fixes itYeah to late after the bulk of the game was already completed by 95% of the playerbase
Worst gimmickmon
>>58230012>at least I could use megas on whichever Pokemon I caught instead of having to catch a hyper specific one Cool i can mega evolve any pokemon then
>>58230026not what I was saying. I can catch any Gengar and use Mega Gengar. I have to catch a hyper specific Gengar in order to use Gigantimax Gengar, otherwise I just get a normal Dynamax
It all sucks>>58230012Which is even dumber because mega evolution is supposed to represent a deep bond or whatever
>>58230090>not what I was saying. But you said >at least I could use megas on whichever Pokemon I caught instead
>>58230126So you're just being willfully obtuse because you don't have an argument
Megas are cancer
>>58230133You didn't point out how i'm wrong
>>58230136I also stated DLC "fixing it" which is obviously referring to the Max Soup. If you need anymore clarification then you have the reading comprehension of a kindergartener
>>58230238>at least I could use megas on whichever Pokemon I caught
>>58229747No. Stop spamming this shit thread.
>>58229747>Intentionally leave out design aspects of of newer mons in which their base design suffers for a shitty gimmick>Or LAWL BEEG & PHAATNEVER
>>58230253>instead of having to catch a hyper specific one
>>58230503Therefore i can mega any pokemon without using any specific species got it
>>58230511It's almost like you're reading an incomplete sentence
>>58230566>at least I could use megas on whichever Pokemon I caught instead of having to catch a hyper specific one Therefore i can mega evove any pokemon i catch then
>>58230571You're not reading the second part of it
>>58230573The second part has nothing to do with mega evolution
It's pretty funny how, in the past, people would typically look back on an older gen favorably as more time went on, get nostalgic for mechanics, the region, etc. We have people warming up to XY, ORAS, even some pretty devout Gen 7 fans. But somehow this has never once happened to Gen 8, not the region, not the Pokemon and definitely not the mechanics. No one was missing Dynamax and no one has asked for it back either, you have more people looking more favorably on Z-Moves, even. And now with Megas back on the table, Dmax is all but forgotten and the best way you can get people to talk about it is trying to bait people into pretending it was good.Shit's just crazy to see, Gen 8 really and truly was just the fucking worst from every aspect. Maybe they can re-use some of those G-Max designs for megas in the future, I think that's the best legacy Dynamax can leave for the series.
>>58230594it's the zelda cycle
>>58230597That's what I'm saying, Gen 8 skipped the Zelda cycle because it was so ass.
>>58230581It's related to the first part you nimrod
>>58230601>at least I could use megas on whichever Pokemon I caught instead of having to catch a hyper specific one Therefore i don't have to catch any specific pokemon and i can mega evolve whatever i want got it
>>58230594I'm surprised it isn't shilled harder for the simple fact that Wolfe puts dynamax on this pedastal in the heavens. It sucks ass. While megas suck too, it's because of their implementation as a game mechanic and not the mons themselves.
>>58230607You're still not reading the second part
>>58230617The second part is about dynamax which has nothing to do with being able to mega evolve any pokemon i can catch like you said
>>58230594You call a Spade a Spade. Everyone was right about SwSh being dogshit on release and people only coped because it was the current, new thing. SwSh did SO MUCH wrong to the point where its good aspects were too violently overshadowed or are now being cannibalized by later games like SV and Z-A>>58230597>>58230600This also happened to Skyward Sword. Even with the Skyward Sword revisionist campaign, especially thanks to the HD port warming people up, but it's still objectively the weakest of the Zelda games. SV is the first time a later gen release on the exact same system outsold the previous Gen. The lack of identity for Galar outside of the Kanto-pandering, waifus or ugly tree textures basically are going to turn Gen VIII into a fucking footnote that could've all been avoided if they were actually prepared for console development instead of sticking to their shitty routine. It likely could've all been avoided if Masuda left sooner
>>58230623You are a complete buffoon and I'm not going to talk to you because this is a looping conversation and you just want attention on the Taiwanese Tea Ceremony Image Board
>>58230630You didn't point out how i'm wrong
>>58230630You are the dumbest poster I've seen in days, maybe weeks. You keep going on with that guy like a gradeschool playground argument.
>>58230623>The second part is about dynamaxIt's about gigantamax>which has nothing to do withThen you're not reading the context
>>58230648That's cool and and but what does it have to do with being able to mega evolve any pokemon i can catch like you said?
>>58230658Holy fuck do I have to spell it out for you? What does "hyper specific" mean to you?
>>58230658because it implies that Gigantimax is arbitrarily restricted on which Pokemon of that species can use it while as long as a Pokemon is the right species it can Mega evolve
>>58230671>What does "hyper specific" mean to you? Clearly not megas since i don't have to catch a specific species to use it all i have to do is just catch any pokemon and i can mega evolve right away
>>58230677You didn't answer the question
>>58230684And you still didn't point out how i'm wrong
Dynamaxtards when they think it's balanced because every Pokemon can do it (it ended up just making good types better and nothing else)
>>58230688Spoken like a true mogoncuck player
>>58229747Mechanically, they suck and ruin the game.
>>58230686The proof is in the answerNo, you know what, fuck this. It means "not literally", and if the second statement is related to the first, then the first also means "not literally". Donate your brain to autism research.
>>58230698>The proof is in the answer The answer proves i can mega evolve any pokemon i catch? good for you then
>>58230700I literally not literally spoonfed you the answer, and you willfully ignored it. Fuck off with your shit.
>>58230707i can just mega evolve any pokemon i catch
>>58230707at least 3 different people spoonfed him the answer. He's just willfully ignorant because he doesn't have any argument
>>58230594Dynamax was dead on arrival. I remember the livestream when they first showed it off was the same one where they announced the Dexcut. There was no excitement for the mechanic, only confusion.
>>58229747>he's trying againKEK nobody will ever like your rejected gimmick
>>58229747Jesus christ they're horrifying
>>58230594Gen 9 was glitchy as fuck but for all that shit the gimmick was mechanically the best, the plot was too good to come from GF and the characters are endearing and lovely, it's an overall great game only tainted by the performance and actually feels like a genuine progression from gen 7, which was also pretty decent, mix that with the incredibly shitty game SwSh was, the joke of a remake of BDSP is and the absurd toddler-tier idea of dynamax (both visually and mechanically) and you get a gen being forgotten instantly, gen 8 feels like it should have come out right after gen 6 or something, it's a massive fuck up nobody wants to return to.
>>58230594The other gimmicks weren't as creatively bankrupt as "it gets EVEN bigger".
>>58231388Not him but I would have been okay with that if they made it feel like a proper kaiju battles and/or made something fun to use in-game but no, the massive mons just make more obvious how pokemon just stay default positions during the whole battle doing one or two poses while the visual effects convey the battle and the mechanic is just Z-moves reskined like (big) megas and utterly broken
>>58229773You're right about the rest but mega T-tar is inspired.
>>58229747alot of the designs aren't too bad but they made them too big. Should have been half that size so you can actually see the normal sized pokemon. That and the giga moves were too stupidly broken so the mechanic became unfun. Some models that actually move would probably help too.
>>58229773Both shit
APOLOGIZE RIGHT NOW MALAMARFAGS
>>58232650>he saw his thread was dying because everyone is focused on the new mega>so he self-bumps and pretends the mega is bad while it's universally praised like Hawlucha'sHoly shit you are pathetic
>>58229747These look much worse than megasIf anything my issue with the new megas is that some kinda follow the "lol memes xD" trend of Gigantamax
