Why do they reveal these Mega Evolution so early in the morning? Is it for kids to get hype before school or something?

Yeah im central time and the Megas always come out at like 8am. I guess debuting it at midnight like album releases wouldn't make sense because pokemons demo is 6-12 year olds.

Nintendo directs are also usually at this time.
9am (EST) just seems to be the time Japan likes to do things, presumably hits the most people (its 10pm in Japan)

While also having the news break on the same day for most of the world. 9 AM for New York, 2 PM for London, 10 PM for Tokyo, and on the extremes you have 3 AM for Honululu and 1 AM the next day for Auckland.
