There have been some changes to the story, but as I recall, you're still going to the same locations in the same order. (Emerald Wally Version is the one that will send you to locations in a different order, but doesn't have any QoL beyond what's in base Emerald). It is a little more challenging, but if you have one or 2 powerhouses, you can have a few shitmon. You could also try Eris Emerald with all the randomization options turned off.

One of which is a little map popup in the area where you can unlock Lugia's dungeon. Does anyone know where I can fine sprites of all the pokemon in GBA size? I know they are out there because rom hacks use them, but I wanted to use them for essentials. Some of the default sprites that come with the Gen 9 expansion are too large and go off the screen, so I would prefer a smaller uniform size. DS size is also acceptable, but GBA is the goal.

Since I'm willing to mix FRLG and RSE, I can still meet the minimum 8 trainer requirement for a PWT with: all 4 protagonists, Blue, Lorelei, Giovanni, Steven, Maxie, Archie, both professors, Wally, Shelly(?) and Steven. I think those are all the named NPCs with walking animations (except for Scott, but he doesn't have a battle sprite), so that is enough. It's not themed, but it's enough. As for asking people for their fakemon/assets, I'll have to be careful about that. I don't want to become "that guy" and have everyone avoid me because I spam every thread. The smart thing to do is hunt around for fakemon that people say are free to use and hope that my project starts to get the kind of attention that might draw people in.
