this scene was the true end of my pokemon journey. X was the last pokemon game I beat when I was 18. I started at 12 with leafgreen and I roleplayed as the same trainer traveling the regions based on the games I played afterwards, ending in kalos. I watched the anime too to flesh out the world in my mind. I look back at it and the scene holds a lot of emotional weight with the crowds and the personal battle and the camera angles and the music. Was this a good ending? I think it’s fitting for a finale.
