>>58236442While id prefer the game just play it straight like gens 1-6 (bw1 sligjtly excepted) I think a reasonably balanced premise would be if you were already assigned as the professors research assistant and were heading to the new region with him to help catalogue the unique environments of each island, maybe there's also some ulterior motivate he has for being there which leads into the story and the goal of progressing through each island.
