i can understand disliking it, but to me it just looks kinda whatever. it doesn't even change that much, it's just some more wings and a marble on the tail, how is that drastic enough to warrant such vitriolic hatred?

>>58239614I think it's a combination of people who never liked Dragonite to crawl out from under their rocks, people who hate Megas in general and people who realised this meant the Mega leak was true. For me personally, it's whatever, but I haven't cared for Dragonite since gen II. In RB it looked intimidating, but in later gens it became this friendly-looking dragon.

>>58239614There's a good amount of people who unironically think the original Pokémon's drastic change from Dragonair was a war crime. I can understand getting disappointment from Game Freak 'doubling down' with the notion that they got it right the first time since it's subjective.It's not much of a middle-ground compromise that many fan interpretations adapted. And honestly, a lot of those interpretations were amazing in its own right. What we got is okay in my book. But for overall mega standards, it's arguably underwhelming.
