I don't fucking care if those designs suck, it was inevitable. I don't even play the new games so I will never use them. But that confirmation will lead to many fanarts and redesigns of Mega Raichu, this means Raichu is getting love.And with so many redesigns and ideas, it will eventually lead to the definitive Gorochu design. This is a win.
If they wanted to make Raichu a physical attacker they could have given it a huge sword tail instead of yet another lame puncher.

Obviously Miraidon will outclass any Mega due to its stats but in competitive formats without restricteds a SpA electric Mega with electric terrain and access to Volt Switch sounds amazing on paper. Depending on the other support or attack moves it could be worth running over the usual overpowered Mega.
