I love Greninja but always hated Ash Greninja. them giving him Ash's hair has always, always been hideous, the red doesn't mesh well, he looks stupid literally wearing Ash's shirt, etc.I get why it exists, because they wanted to give Ash his own Mega, and that was fine for the anime, but it definitely should've stayed anime only and I'm glad it's getting erased from existence by a much more competent design.

Yep, one was foisted on them by the anime because they fucked themselves by making megas unkillable unless by another mega (then showed regular pokémon wrecking megas the next season), the other was something they intended to produce.
