I'm pretty positive the only reason Raichu even got these is because it happens to be Pikachu's evolution, since now they can say the unholy Kanto trio of Pikachu (technically), Charizard and Mewtwo all have 2 mega evolutions

It's way different since Charizard Y isn't just a recolored Charmeleon like this raichu pikachu situation. They both look like different charizards.
