the problem isn't that pokemon designs can't be goofy, the problem is when they take relatively grounded mons that weren't explicitly silly in the first place and turn them into jokes, doubly so if the silly comical form is meant to be a stronger, powered up form

I think if he just would have kept the fangs, 50% more of us would’ve been fine with the Mega. It’s the fatness, the strangling, the fatlips, AND the de-toothing all combined that contributed to our disappointment. Not all Megas can be winners, but it does suck that Victreebel got the worst one so far. Hopefully it’s competively gas and then I can learn to love him by beating the fuck out of dipshits on ladder at least.
