As someone who's been with the franchise since RBY debuted, yeah megas are terrible as are most all of the gimmicks. Z-Moves are probably the best for me because more NPCs use them in the campaign but they somehow feel far less intrusive all the same. I hate how Megas and gigantimax make temporary DBZ transformations popular. I much preffered the idea of pokemon evolving in a more naturalistic way
