Consumers are dumb, if they put it on the back a bunch of idiots would buy the wrong one or get upset about it being an upgrade pack instead of a completely retooled switch 2 exclusive version because they didn't read it before purchase. I've had customers fail to find the customer service desk that's literally right there with a huge sign when you walk into the store, not understand how a roll of tape works, and throw a fit because I couldn't tell them their rewards points balance without getting their phone number.

Or they pull out a new NPC from Hyperspace Lumiose who uses it, given the DLC is based around Hyperspace Lumiose. If they wanted Emma to have M. Raichu, they would have just given her M. Raichu from the off.
