He's to pokemon what Aonuma is to zelda. didn't create the series but made some of the best games when given the reins, then for some or another reason forgot what made them good in the 2010s

He made platforms for other, more competent devs to fix his games and to sell merch for TPC. The franchise was hard-carried by the anime until about 2007

He had the fire in him but BW underperforming blackpilled him so much he became a detriment in later games. Should've stuck around to continue composing since he's good at that, but no more directing
