Feraligatr is a shitmon that doesn't even take advantage of Sheer Force that well. It could have an average ability and still be good simply because of the stat boost and how much better Water/Dragon is offensively.

You know Sheer Force doesn't affect every move right? It doesn't get a dragon move that takes advantage of it either, which means its Water STAB is the only notable move that would be doing more damage than the mega.

reminds me of when mega gyara needed to rely on bite
but with recent games it seems like the staff are infested with compfags who love minmaxing everything so it'll definitely get something to abuse it with

It can get dragon rush very easily.
Doesn’t change the fact that its coverage was just reduced to ice fang and crunch when it used to be able to run moves like rock slide and ice punch. Strong jaw ice fang is not even a buff to sheer force + life orb ice punch

It affects every single one of his coverage moves and stab with the single exception of earthquake.
Strong jaw is only buffing crunch because ice fang and ice punch are similar in damage thanks to the extra 10bp on the former.
Every other fang move except poison fang will hit weaker than liquidation or his ground/rock coverage on top of being worse coverage overall.
Its like trying to use tyrantrum with strong jaw.
It has everything it needs to be a strong sweeper, the only thing it lacks is an actual ability, at least a defensive one so he can go hard with outrages after you eliminate the fairy threat.
