A Reminder. Game Freak easily could, should, and feel expected to have every previous gen Pokémon be transferable to every main while still having the games be high quality on top of that. They easily could and that should be expected of them. It is objective fact that the amount of effort for them to have every species of Pokémon be transferable to a main game does not increase over time as the number of Pokémon does when done properly. There's enough room in the data structure to have a new language (there were multiple unused values for an origin language)2. This should only affect pokemon from the new origin language (which could easily show up in older games as being from a different language)3. Pokemon Home already keeps specific data for all games a Pokemon enters anyways (since PLA) to prevent incompatibilities like this happening in the first place.
