Steel's too cracked a type, Dark would've held it back significantly especially in Gen III when it was a Special type. It would've probably been better in Gens IV/V, but by then it finally got Steel STAB

What? No. Its big jaws are real and are really part of it, can eat, etc, but the rest of mawile is also real. Canon-wise she uses her more simple and cute appearance to deceive mons that she uses those giant jaws to consume, but she's still the little cutie there, too.
