>>58281263I remember as a child I wanted an n64 just for this game. Gonna be honest, the gameplay is shallow, and Pikachu almost never ever listens. The most fun thing to do is explore the worlds in first person, but honestly Pokémon Snap is ironically better for that despite being on-rails. Watching Pikachu fry stuff with thunder is cool, but that just might be my 'tism being satisfied by finally being able to pop popcorn with my Pokémon. I guess if you like the idea of a "slice of life" Pokémon game, this is the closest the series ever got.

Pokemon Snap is earnestly a million times better: short but compact, plenty of pokemon, and the photography and "rail shooting" mechanics work really well together.
