What in your opinion are some of most annoying Pokemon to level having only caught wild?

>pretend EXP share doesn't exist anymore
>no egg moves
>no TM/TRs
>no hidden abilities

Picture related in the newer games when you catch it at a low level. Lick is the ONLY move you have until LVL 24 with Hex.
>>
>what are EXP candies?
>what are catching the evolved forms
Luckily, we're not locked to Gen 1 any more kid, nor its highly restrictive pokémon distributions AND exp potentiality.

Ghosts are pretty annoying to level in general in most cases. They usually can't rely on STAB utside of lick which is dogshit and rarely do you get something like a shadow ball or shadow claw.

Ignoring items, just have to grind and level up in battles.

I still can't believe lick is 30 power. It's so fucking useless.

Ah, well none, because that's how I completed the pokédex in Red in 2000 (and doing it in that meant doing it in later games didn't bother me, especially as they made it easier every Gen to level).. So, how young exactly are you? You're no genwunner that's clear. Hoennbab? Sinnotoddler? Too old to be a XYgote or Alolasome or younger.
>>
How did people level up Magikarp in the older games?

>Sinnotoddler
It's sinnohfetus newfag

I just turned 20 on Friday.

Lead with it then swap and tank a hit.

I guarantee I'm here longer than you. I also don't give a fuck for the board's Gen labels (XYgote was RIGHT there for the taking after all) and use whatever - it gets the message accross and ensures feebles like you sperg out.

How much EXP did it get just from switching?
>>
Love him to death, but he has a rough start
>>
Larvitar 100%

Everything seems to hit him SE and it always OHKO.
>>
Burmy. You're uselessly weak, you have no moves, you're BUG, you don't have an early evolution like other bugs and you need to train it 4 times to get Mothim and the three Wormadams.
>>
I loved using Shuckle in Crystal on 3DS, it had such a shallow movepool that without Strength or TM's it's a dead weight
>>
>>58281668
Or leaving it in a Daycare while you use your bike around, till it learns Tackle, or the most suicidal of strategies:
>spend all Splash PPs while battling with another 'karp till it triggers Struggle
>switch it back and let another mon do the service (EXP gain split in 2)
>have a Potion stock to avoid taking it to the PokeCenter for some time, while keeping the PPs at 0 (more Struggle), rinse and repeat
Simply masochistic and almost impractical (without huge sums of Pokemoney), I do not recommend

So you admit then that the games are inherently broken and held together with egregious band-aids.
>>
Magikarp, Abra. Any Metapod-type middle bug evolution when caught wild with no attacking moves. Probably newer gens also have a couple without any damaging moves. I think Ralts is one. These are all specifically there to teach you about swap training, or at least daycare/rare candy.
