It's been over 100 episodes, and it's safe to say Liko, Roy, Amethio, and the RVT cannot carry Horizons. The show needs Ash or a popular game character to join the cast to attract audiences. Spinel's evil plan doesn't matter when few care about the characters meant to stop him. Pokémon is character-driven, not plot-driven. If the characters aren't compelling, no plot can save the series.
