I want to go back to Kanto. Which game will give me the best experience? RBY, FRLG or LGPE?

Depends what you want

If you want the DEFINITIVE Kanto experience in terms of content, FRLG
If you want the DEFINITIVE Kanto experience in terms of experience, RB
If you're lazy and don't care about what you're playing or want to put effort into playing the game, LGPE

I'd say Yellow is the better version from the 1st gen, unless, you want one of the pokémon not available and are unable to trade/mod just because you have access to the three starters and some 'mons can learn more moves, even if just a bit.

Honestly getting all 3 starters isn't really worth the absolutely dreadful early game

>Just get a Nidoran
>Just get a Mankey
>Just get a Butterfree

If I wanted a crutch I'd just start with Charmander, who can at least beat Brock if you really wanted to solo since Onix is that dogshit. After Vermilion it's basically the exact same game anyway

RB for the nostalgia
Y for the anime nostalgia
LGPE for some fun
