>3 years into gen 9 with only SV and ZA
>30th anniversary next year
I know the obvious course of action is for gen 10 to be announced, but could you imagine if they announced black and white remakes/sequels instead, SPECIFICALLY to celebrate the 30th anniversary? There would be SO much seething, it would be hilarious.
>>
i believe in that snivy
>>
the funniest outcome is yet another kanto game but this time it has legends gameplay
literally nothing changed except the battles, it's just LGPE but with ZA's fighting

it's weird being a pokefag who likes gen 5 but doesn't love it, it's the gen that everyone either seems to worship or despise (applies to a few gens but 5 is the strongest example)

Yeah it's my favorite gen and it's definitely love it or hate it. I think it comes down to most people following gut reactions just in general, most people don't think about any opinion long before sticking with it. And early unova especially can easily rub half of those people the wrong way. I get it.

As a gen 5 fan, I wouldn't trust them to fetch me a glass of water without botching it up, let alone making a good remake.

>the basedboy eagerly watches the newest pokemon direct
>chanting "KANTO. KANTO. KANTO." under his breath
>direct starts
>We are making the biggest pokemon game to date to celebrate the 30th anniversary. Prease undastand.
>The "KANTO.. KANTO.. KANTO.." grows louder and more vigorous
>Prease watch thia trairer for our newest pokemon geimu. Prease undastand.
>the chanting has grown into scream of joy, "KANTO! KANTO! KANTO!"
>trailer starts, slow zoom to a pikachu
>KANTO KANTO KANTOOOOOOOO
>standing behind it, the camera pans to reveal, are the three unova starters
>KA- Kanto???
>POKEMON BLACK 3 AND WHITE 3 appears on screen
>We hope you rike it. Hahaha!
>U-UNOVAAAAA??????? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

You’re not alone anon, I’m a fan but not the biggest in the world. It’s definitely nearing my favorites but I can’t really understand the weird fanaticism everyone else seems to have about it.

Level 57 btw

not him but I think part of it is that if you feel like you have to defend it then you normally get more attached to it. I think that's one of the reasons I like it so much; that I know exactly what I like about it because of how much I felt like I had to argue about it after it first came out.

I would like BW a lot more if the Pokemon distribution wasn't complete ass. Until you reach the desert you have to use lame vanilla ass encounters like lillipup and blitzle if you don't want to overlevel your starter and trivialize the entire earlygame. Just makes the first 2 gyms really boring. And not to mention there's a big stretch of the midgame where you're just not getting any noteworthy encounters (gyms 4-5). It's like every area before the 5th gym that isn't the desert is chalk full of shitters that just aren't fun to use. Idk this is just what I've found trying to teambuild in these games. Because of this BW are easily the games I come back to the least, even though I do really like other aspects of them

I REALLY don't want to. I don't trust modern game freak to give Unova the respect and attention it deserves. Those fuckers would skip out on seasons and you know it.

Virbank has Koffing and Magby
Floccessy has Mareep and Riolu
B2W2 gives you access to powerhouse mons really early
>>
>>58285138
which is why I much prefer B2W2. Too bad I need to bite the bullet and play BW beforehand if I want the full experience.

It's not a particularly popular entry going by actual statistics, so it's one of those things where the internet distorts it's reputation. It falls into that early 2010s late 2000s games that are sacred cows for young people right now, so the nostalgia dominates the general discourse about them and makes for easy engagement.

>t. has played and (mostly) enjoyed every pokemon game

bw1 is #28 in japan's top 100 games of all time
>>
>>58285180
A not insignificant portion of the top selling games in Japan are all pokemon. SV is already the best selling one there and has only been out for 3 years. Being less popular =/= unpopular.

Tbh I prefer BW's distribution more than BW2's and find the latter to be the ones I come back to the least. I've had no issues with teambuilding in general and I like to be overleveled.
