Both seem equally likely at this point.What WOULD surprise me a little is Mega Raichu X and Mega Eelektross both being Electric-type physical attackers with Levitate, because that makes them a little too close. So maybe Eelektross will pivot to special, or Raichu X will have some other ability, because taking Levitate away from Eelektross would be stupid, that's its whole gimmick.
>>58285342https://pokepast.es/d81ca7b3dab0549cAccording to the ZA beta teraleak stat and ability doc, which I'm highly inclined to believe is real due to how Gamefreak-ish these stat distributions are, Mega Eelektross' points all go towards attack and speed when it Mega Evolves, we don't have anything on the DLC, since that likely came from a later version, so maybe Mega Raichu X doesn't actually have Levitate, or maybe it has a buffed version of Levitate with another effect in the ability.On a final note it's highly expected quite a few of these abilities will change when these Megas drop in Champions, like many leaked abilities changed from PLA to SV, but I highly doubt Mega Eelektross loses Levitate.

If I remember correctly, the datamined abilities in PLA all just matched the ones of the base forms, so they were very obviously placeholders. These are nearly all different and have some purpose related to the Megas' playstyles or designs, it's significantly more deliberate, which makes me inclined to think it either is real and these are the finalized abilities, or it simply is a well-crafted fake.

Disregarding defensive/stall Megas, all prior Megas had at least 135 in their offensive stats with the sole exceptions of Charizard-X (130 mixed, but with DD and Tough Claws), Glalie (120 mixed, but an -Ate), Abomasnow (132 mixed) and Altaria (110 but -Ate and DD).If these are real these are all (barring a handful) dead-on-arrival. And not in the G9 or can't-compete-with-Mega-Kangakshan way. They wouldn't even hack it during G6 Smogon lower tiers. Mega Sceptile blows away half of these wack stats spreads and it was notoriously awful.

Moxie on a couple, Defiant, Swords Dance and Speed Boost on Scolipede pre-Mega, etc. RIP to Dragalge, Froslass, and Delphox though I guess, though there's still the potential for busted new moves. But you make a fair point, it is a lot of low base offenses. That could mean fake, or it could be Game Freak making a bunch of duds. I mean I won't be complaining if they are fake though, I'm happy not knowing what's coming yet. If they are real though, maybe we're looking at some of the power creep being scaled back? Wouldn't be so bad seeing some of the top dogs of Gen 9 get nerfed a tad

If this is true then you can immediately write off everything but Feraligatr, Chandelure, Floette, Eelektross, Dragalge and Drampa. These Froslass, Malamar, Pyroar, Delphox megas might honestly be worse than Mega Audino. I've never seen anything so bad.

I honestly believe flying would have been a good type to have since they are mainly physical and doesn't force Raichu to have levitate.
