Honestly, you don't know anything new about Arceus in this game except that it's a ball of light. We already knew that the pokemon Arceus is just a avatar and nothing more. We could've learn about how Arceus itself was born and who the titans were. We could've had a human avatar Arceus companion that guides us while witnessing the relationships between people and pokemon evolve. We could've even had Arceus interact with it's children and explored their relationship beyond the typical universal mechanism.
