This could be anything related to pokemon, childhood story, a particular card or poster or advertisementanything goes!!!A nostalgic memory for me was when I first downloaded my pokemon ranch but didn't know how to transfer pokemon so every morning at 6:30am I'd wake up to see my daily pokemon before school
>>58297356When I was eight I learned about the video games when I watched two people at my local library trade a shiny Kangaskhan in a Master Ball and a shiny Typhlosion with eachother.

>>58297356>A nostalgic memory for me was when I first downloaded my pokemon ranch but didn't know how to transfer pokemon so every morning at 6:30am I'd wake up to see my daily pokemon before schoolaww that's cute, op :)
When Burger King recalled the Poke Balls from their First Movie kid's meal promotion, they were offering fries, burgers, and drinks depending on how many you returned at a time. My family had free meals for a whole week.
Not my image but I still have this poster hanging in my room.
>>58297429Which gen were they playing?
>>58298961That's fantastic, getting a reverse payout there.>>58299517That short (?) span of time between Ruby/Sapphire's release and the earlier Pokemon getting newer art was a funny thing. I have one of the US Pocket guides for the games that also has the old art in the back section.
>>58297356I actually have complicated feelings about Ranch, it is my own fault because i was a tard who though i was gonna function like Box, so i dumped all my accumulated Gen3/4 mons in it started a new save and locked em all in forever, it is cute but i'd be lying if i didn't say it colored my perception of it negatively.
>>58299517>but I still have this poster hanging in my room.anon...you are over 30 and you have pokemon posters still hanging?to your father, you are a stark reminder of the importance of pulling out.
>>58300961Kek, I cant understand pajeets either
>>58300961>to your father, you are a stark reminder of the importance of pulling out.Nice fanfiction. Did you come up with it yourself? But anyways, enough about why I should kms. Give it like another 40 years or so and maybe I'll revisit that thought.>>58299517I've also got an advertisement for Pokémon Colosseum in a drawer somewhere, too.
>>58299517That's a cool looking poster! Seems like it's in good shape, too.
>>58299517Cool
>>58300961Touch grass, edgy faggot
>>58302621Like I said in my original comment, the image isn't mine (mine's on the back of my bedroom door -- Will try to get some images up of my own stuff if I'm able) but thank you all the same! The one in the image posted actually looks to be in a little bit better shape than my own. (Mine got torn a bit in one of the corners at some point in time, but I fixed it with tape.)
>>58303292How long have you had yours?
>>58297429Did it make you want a Gameboy and Pokemon right then and there?
>>58304315I don't remember the exact amount of years but it's been with me since childhood. (Sapphire was my first Pokémon game and I was introduced to the series around elementary school when I saw a friend playing Ruby version on a gameboy (at school); was actually into Yu-Gi-Oh before then but that's neither here nor there.)
>>58299517Man I love gen 3 but it had such a lame set of gym leaders
>>58300434They were playing XY>>58305813Yes but a rather than a Gameboy I wanted a 3DS. Later that year my parents got me a used 2DS and Pokemon Rumble Blast for Christmas, then I bought Pokemon Y using the money a saved up a couple months later.
>>58298961Geez, how many Poke Balls did you have??
>>58300943rough...
>>58300961I sneer at you>t. has the Kalos poster on my wall, as well as a wife and daughter
Disappointed that nobody ever made a romhack of ranch that removed the same save withdraw restriction, and ported in platinum support for non Japanese
>>58300943you could probably save those mons if you’re autistic enough to find their tid sid with pkhex then rng abuse that combo onto a new save
Traveling to Dewford island by boat made me fall in love with boating. I will be Mr. Briney someday. When I'm going out i hear either the surf music or Set Sail!
i collected cards as a kid, and i'd play the tcg with friends, except none of us actually knew the rules. so there was no energy, it was just "you put a card down and you can do whatever attack whenever"also i remember taking my pokewalker to the park every time we went. sometimes there was even another kid who had one and it was sovl(silver). i even had that little black rubber protector for it. i have no clue where the pokewalker went sadly, i had two of them since i had both hg and ss. in fact i know i at least had that little lugia figure but i think it's heavily worn from playing with it a bunch.there's also when before BW was widely known about in the states when my grandparents got me japanese imported reshiram/zekrom figures for my birthday once (with some other stuff, like a pencil set). the tags were in japanese and everything and i felt like the coolest kid on the block with all the insider info
>>58310018>I will be Mr. Briney someday.Just... uh, careful if you try and make friends with a seagull....
>>58300961NTA but my wife (biological female) brought her Pokemon posters to decorate out house with when we moved in together.
>>58300961My house is filled with pokemon plushies because my wife insists I catch them all for her.
>>58297356Anything from the Base set, or hell, even through Gym Heroes. In 4th grade, my buddy fractured his leg so his dad bought him an entire Base booster box. Obviously, we didn't use names like "shadowless" back then, but it was a shadowless box. We ended up calling the shadowless cards "99" and unlimited "98" since those were the last copyright years on the cards. Autistic me wanted all my cards to match, so I'd trade all my shadowless cards for unlimited.
>>58311114I know they were just cherry, but I still dream about how good these were.
Speaking with my Dad who brought up the Pokemon card price surges unprompted (occasionally the big news outlets talk about them, not surprising), and he asked if there were still printed price-tracking magazines for trading card games like there are for some other collectables. I answered they don't exist anymore, but they DID, even when the buying audience was still mostly actual children. I'm thinking Pojo more than Beckett.
>>58311127Now that's how you do it... marry someone that shares your interests. Nice going, anon!
>>58300961Dude is the year 2025. People have a casual love of Pokémon in general. It's just this board that is autistic incels who never touched a woman. And never will.
>>58311114Seeing this made me remember that I vaguely remembered seeing a commercial for this stuff on television one time.
>>58313154I had these back in the day, remember they tasted great. I'd still eat a box nowadays but I dont really crave them if that makes sense
>>58306953>XY>8Went to call you underage but then I counted and now I feel ancient :(
>>58313154Huh... I remember the Mario version of Kraft Mac and Cheese back in the day, ate it quite a lot actually because of how tasty it was but also I think(?) there were occasional promotions to get Nintendo Power subscriptions for a discount, but I don't remember the Pokemon version at all. Strange.
