Most good Pokemon now need 2 energy to attack. So you're probably going to be hitting things for 120. Anything that survives a 120 hit is surviving a 130 hit. And it doesn't kill itself.

This is Raichus ideal scenario in a perfect set up, you have Pichu and Zeraora and on turn 3 you evolve to Raichu and use elemental switch to give Raichu Zeras energy and begin attacking and you can keep attacking at least 2 times before Raichu dies if your opponent also had a good set up.

You say Raichu EX is a 2 card combo but Arceus EX is a 4 card combo. You can run 2 Pikachu 2 Raichu and be guaranteed to start with a Pikachu, but if you add 4 basics to an Arceus deck that gives you a 1/3 chance to have in your starting hand. Arceus is a good card, but it takes a lot more work to get going.

How do I use Volt Swith Tapu Koko? I've got several full arts and want to make a deck for it but I can't think of a good strat for it.

It's horrible and you should never use it, sorry. Your best bet is to use oricorio and pyukumuku as walls when you switch into them but Tapu koko will die before you can get the energy and is completely outclassed by jumpluff ex

if you're dead set on using it then toss 4 copies of oricorio/pyukumuku/zangoose in your deck and use them as frontline for koko
but it really is just a shitty version of jumpluff ex and you will probably never win a game since it takes so fucking long to come online and you can't afford to invest energy in your frontliners like you can with jumpluff decks since it only takes 1 energy

Everyone's saying worse Jumpluff but the -4 cards basic niche for a tag in card is very worthwhile, it's just not Tapu's meta and probably won't ever be again. Your only real options for tag ins are Raikou and Oricorio, and to pray you get a Pichu Tapu opening to deal with the 3 energy. Not very exciting, and you'll need all 4 of them. And, with that deck framework and opening set up you'd probably be better off with a more standard Raikou deck that replaces Tapu with a burst damager. He isn't contributing that much for the swap in energy tax.

the advantage of being a basic jumpluff will never outweigh the fact that it takes 3 energy to function instead of 1. why put 3 energy on koko and spend energy every turn to use raikou as a meat shield when you could just put 2 energy on raikou and attack with it instead?
