There are a lot of misconceptions out there about Gen 10... This is meant to correct some of the assumptions and give more information. -The "Wind" and "Wave" titles aren't even close to the actual title.-The Archipelago isn't solely based on Greece, but also Indonesia-Battle Gimmick targets Middle stage Pokemon, either by giving them a stat boost, or by changing their typing- Called Beta Evolution - Dudunsparce gets alternate evolutions depending on which form, one becomes flying/dragon, the other becomes Normal/flying-130 regional Pokedex (includes regional/convergent forms)- some new pokemon are created by cross-breeding. Example would be Heracross/Pinsir creates a new fighting/big type with new Evo line. Each stage has aspects of each parent, with the final stage having pinsir's...uh.. pincer and heracross' horn (it's like diet fusions)- Mega Evolution returns, but there won't be any new megas, as the focus for this generation is on making the second stages more battle viable.-Pokemon Day shows the starters, a Fire type Sea Horse, A Grass buffalo, and a water Nymph-Release date November 12th, 2026

>>58301663It depends.Generally speaking, once they release a game from one generation, the overall setting is defined for the next gen.For example, when they launched XY they already knew the next one was going to be an island adventure.Different aspects of the game are decided on different times. The settings of the game are probably the first thing they decided. Things like designs for human characters and the story come next. For example, the Brazil game is going to be an ecological adventure. The Italy game is about traditions. Etc.The designs of Pokémon can vary. That's why GameFreak and The Pokémon Company are so against leaks of beta, because they can totally use those designs later. For the now postponed return to Japan, they wanted to incoude several known beta designs and mythology gaga. As far as I know, they still plan to do that in a later generation.Though, after the shuft to 3D they had to really rework some designs, because the old ones, in their opinion, didn't really work. And you guys would be shocked about how many Pokémon are designed without giving much thought to the setting, or just adapting it later to fit better.As for gimmicks such as MegaEvolutions and Gigantamax, they are decided later than the setting. I will give you guys an example: Dynamax/Gigantamax were decided much later than you'd expect to be the generation's gimmick. And they were going to be much more like Megas too once they figured out the connection with Eternatus. Now, this is my personal opinion instead of information, but I think it was rheir marketing guys that insisted on a different new gimmick instead of recycling an old one.To make it short, they decided on the setting of generations 10 to 12. They have a bunch of options to the next generations, too. But nothing decided on that.
