Missed opportunities and underutilized potential.Could’ve been a pretty damn great Pokémon game, content is there, mega’s are a great concept when they’re not going to kanto mons, Pokémon Amie is amazing, but the plot is so bad that it ruins the rest of the game imo, it doesn’t help but so much effort was put into making the game cinematic and the ending that it comes off feeling like a missed opportunity.

Although thoroughly lacking in content, unfinished in a lot of places, and a rough transition from 2D to 3D, these games just hold a special place in my heart that no other pkmn game can replicate.The variety of pokemon, megas, the scenery and music. I know other games do it better but this game just stands out for me.
