Pelipper ended up becoming one of my top 20 favorite Pokemon not because I like how it looks (it's alright), but because I absolutely love how it plays. I already enjoyed it because of Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky, but it becoming the GOAT weather setter made me love it. I'm not a furfag, but that same thing applies to Lopunny. I love the way Mega Lopunny plays. I'd have used it more if not for Mega-Swampert being an auto-include on rain teams.
