This actually looks really good. I don't hate the current pink shiny Sneasel but this looks way better and it's not even close. I especially like how the greenish/bluish feathers intentionally or unintentionally reference its ice typing. And that's a really nice shade of brown as well. It really helps the greenish feathers and yellow gems pop.

I don't disagree. Though I think the reason they changed it to blue was they were adamant to always make sure grass type starters incorporate green, water types incorporate blue, and fire type starters incorporate red, orange, or yellow.
Pokemon is ultimately for kids and a dumb kid who looks at a green Feraligatr without knowing anything else about it might assume it's a grass type.
