realistically, how shitty is this going to run on the switch? I refuse to buy the switch 2
23 fps on average, 480p graphicsThis is my bet
Like ass, given since they revealed the S2 version, they've only used footage from it running on that for advertising.
>>58320177Probably as terrible as SV, GF don't know how to optimize games.
>>58320177It's gonna be dogshit and borderline unplayable. Get the Switch 2 if you wanna play it.
The problem is framerate somewhat matters in this game, since it has real time combat. If it were turn-based you could get by with unstable 24 fps. But that's probably what you're going to get and it'll be quite miserable compared to S/V.
>>58320177It's going to be even worse than SV.
>>58320384that's a good point yea
>>58320177Just skip it, anon. Items can't be transferred and this game has no new pokémon besides Eternal Floette. You'd be literally paying $70 for a single Pokémon
>>58320424Have fun not being able to unlock the new Megas in Champions because they require you to transfer mons who have "visited LZA and Mega Evolved in that game" data attached to them, and subsequently getting mogged by every little Timmy who DID buy the game and is trouncing everyone who doesn't have the stuff to compete!
>>58320424yea I am honestly considering it. New pokemon has been so shitty. All i want it a decent pokemon game on switch that has a good postgame. Something I can pull out and enjoy pokemon whenever like emerald. Is there any news on any kind of post game yet?
>>58320448No word of postgame yet, but it's is likely nonexistent outside of shiny hunting, throwing yourself at PVP for the exclusive Mega Stones during their respective windows, and is likely deliberately barren in order to lock further content behind buying the Mega Dimensions DLC (which will also be rather mandatory in the PVP scene because the Megas there are all but guaranteed to be stronger than base LZA's, as to justify the 30 dollar pricetag.)
>>58320435…I doubt they’d do that desu.
>>58320177I refuse to buy the switch 2Then enjoy consistent sub 30 fps gameplay.
>>58320486They will. Champions, as the hub of VGC going forward, will need to have some sort of mechanics in place to encourage the continued purchase of the mainline titles rather than abandoning them entirely to coast solely off of rentals.
>>58320177I preemptively bought a Switch 2 only for this game because it's very obvious that the Switch 1 performance is going to be horrible.
>>58320507>as the hub of VGC going forwardYou know, you kids keep saying that, but offer no evidence. Never mind, insist a tech demo's going to fundamentally impact the core series, when the last tech demo didn't fundamentally impact the core series, beyond mindbreaking children who didn't understand Pocket Monsters meant they could shrink down to pocket sized.
>>58320541You didn't watch any of the Pokemon Presents where Champions is featured. They've said again and again that VGC2026 will be using Champions.
>>58320424Real-time combat
>>58320548Yes, because they NEVER run 4 years on any one cart game (meta gets fucking stale) and they obviously weren't moving VGC comps to Legends. The problem is next Gen, when they launch Gen 10 and Nintendo launch the kid-friendly/povvo-tier revision for Switch 2, a F2P mobileshit app will NOT drive Nintendo Switch 2 sales the way a game made by Game Freak, in their long-running series will or does. Nor indeed drive child interaction with the brand to the point they satisfy Nintendo's demands from them (because the more kids exposed to Nintendo, the more likely they are to stick around past teen and adulthood). Unless you took something from the presentation that spoke for 2027 and beyond you want to share with the class, rather than just for August 2026, before Gen 10 even launches.
>58320568Oh, you're boomerfag. Alright, you won, whatever. Go sip your prune juice.
