What makes a mon Normal-type?I don't understand why Pyroar is Normal/Fire, but Gogoat is only Grass, for example.

Normal type is just Normal. Humans are Normal-types. It's the power of normality. It's being really good at being a physical, living animal. There are elemental animals and then there are animals with elemental powers. There are different. The former wouldn't be Normal, the latter would. So Arcanine is an elemental animal, it embodies fire. Pyroar is an animal with elemental powers, it just happens to have biological functions that are good at making fire. The opposite of Normal already exists in-game. It's Ghost.
