And Prinplup in particular is a pretty horrible design in general, even for starter middle evo standards. Elekid. While, technically, it was designed after Electabuzz, I just don't feel like there's that much connection between the two and the clean design of Elekid gets lost on evolving. Electivire at least makes a little more sense, especially since it has the design of an outlet on its back, but it's hard to beat the simplicity of a round thing with a plug on its head.
