People will gas up all the visual aspects of the world being "unique" but never the characters or writing because Hoenn has the worst writing in the series by simply not encouraging any real thought or emotion. It's just a means to an end to have "more Pokemon" as soon as possible. The soft reboot formula snuffed this franchise's true writing potential
