>>58357798Who doesn’t?
>>58357798yeah, Bulbasaur from pokemon blue

Umbreon and Espeon in Pokemon Colosseum
>>58357824That's me. Nice to meet you. :-)
Cyndaquil
>>58357798My first game was Yellow, so...
>>58357798Yes. Bulbasaur in Blue. Bulbasaur is just such a perfect design for a first stage starter. Venusaur isn't exactly my favorite third stage, that'd be Swampert. But there's just something about Bulbasaur.
>>58358088
>>58357798Yeah. It was Charmander in Red.Though it's now my least favorite of the three
Charmander in red and it remains my favorite starter of all time
Treecko in Pokémon Sapphire. It was one of the few Pokémon I raised to level 100 and tried to bring with me to future generations but stopped after a point because I couldn't transfer it any further.
>>58357798chespin with Y i will always love that soft spikey boy
>>58357798ChimcharPlatinumFuck Wake
Why is Ivyfag talking to himself on a second trip?
>>58357798treecko in rubyI was a fool and didn't choose the GOAT mudkip...
>>58357798When I was really little I shared a file on Ruby with a family member. I couldn’t read so it was mostly me just wandering aimlessly when it was my turn, and my family member was the one actually progressing in the game. Does that count as my first Pokemon game or is it the one I actually played by myself (Pearl)?
>>58357798It was Turtwig, in Pearl. When I was much younger, I always picked the Grass starter. But after some years, I pretty much abandoned them because I ended up liking both Fire/Water starters much more for each gen and I started building my team in order to hit a maximum of types for SE damage. I always thought that Grass was just completely outclassed by Water in this regard, because both hit Rock/Ground for SE but Water is just so much better overall and I always need a Water mon just for Surf. And for hitting Water for SE I always went with Electric. Yes, Water/Ground mons are annoying but a TM can handle them.Nowadays, the only grass starter I use is Bulbasaur because Gen 1...is Gen 1.
Cyndaquil in gold(Don’t fucking start)
>>58359674>pearl>turtwigholy based, in my school everyone were diamond chimchar folk
Mudkips!
charmander in red. when i saw that cool ass dragon on the box i knew i had to have it
>>58357798Yes it was Squirtle in Blue vers.
>got my first Pokémon game (Red) days later than other kids>was ready to pick Charmander over Bulbasaur because Charizard is cool as fuck>a friend showed me the starters' final stage sprites on his game boy color>huge let down with Charizard and Venusaur >Blastoise looks like a boss>picked SquirtleCharizard is still my favorite of the trio, but Blastoise won that battle.
>>58357798Piplup in Pokemon Diamond.
>>58359830It was Red and Bulbasaur for me, but I also remember thinking that Blastoise looked super-cool.
>>58357798Yeah, it was a shitty ass pikachu that was forced upon me and that refused to evolved
It was either Squirtle or Bulbasaur, I actually can't remember which and it drives me nuts.
>>58357798Squirtle in Blue!
>>58360558
>>58357890Both bulbasaur and ivysaur absolutely mog their competition. It's only in the 3rd evos that the other 2 become competative.
>>58359830strange. While I too picked chadstoise, if you asked me I would probably say Charizard's best sprite is his RBY one.
Got Blue (the superior boxart), picked Charmander. Worked out well since I paired him with Vaporeon and motherfucking Muk as a kid. The rest of my team was HM slaves and death fodder.
>>58357798Charizard in Red. A kid traded me his Game Boy and Red version for a bunch of my Pokemon cards. After a few weeks he asked for it back because his mom had just thought I was borrowing it. Thankfully I got basically all the cards back, or equivalent cards. That following summer I mowed lawns to save up the money to buy my own Game Boy and Red.Unrelated but I was going through all of my old Pokemon in Home recently and releasing a lot of the trash that was just taking up space and I found a Blaziken. The caught date of 2012 threw me off at first, but the trainer ID made me realize it was my Blaziken from Ruby (meaning 2002). Somehow during the many migrations it had been given an incorrect caught date. It was, obviously, moved out of the trash box and into a box for safe keeping.
>>58360720Based Muk chad.
>>58357798I emulated Pokemon Blue and I'm sure it was a Squirtle but I didn't really care. I later emulated Crystal and had a Totodile which I midly cared about but... it was emulated, lost the save. But then I had a chance to buy a GBA and Pokemon Ruby. Oh I loved that game. My then Mudkip has now been carried all the way to Pokemon Scarlet. I love that fella. It's been with me my whole life, I always carry him with me on the after game.
