>>58378091The gimmick genie has been freed and isn't going back. What we need is a new gimmick to replace the failed mega mechanic. Let's call it "Ultra evolution" for now. It's mega and dynamax combined. You get a ultra form, or if your pokemon doesn't have an ultra form it will just get an aura and a stat boost slightly weaker than a proper form. All of the forms look cool and there are no le funny meme ones.They require no item, but they can only be used via an attack and thus take a turn of setup. The transformation move will turn into a powerful ultra move based on the pokemon's type once you're in the ultra state. There is also a desperation mechanic where if a pokemon is the last member on your team, has high friendship and is at 33% of their hp, they'll transform on their own without needing to use the move.
