Also you have to be like level 30 for Candy XL to start dropping I think?Purifying shadow Pokemon gives like +2 in each stat and also makes evolving/powering them up cost less candy. Generally Shadow Pokemon are still stronger than if you were to purify them, but Shadow Pokemon also can't Mega Evolve for what its worth. There's badges for purifying though so you're gonna want to do a least a few to extra balls from grunt fights.
