How the fuck has the game not leaked? genuinely impressed. I don't mean screenshots I mean the actual thing
>>58378877Because we're no longer in the era of people who are in it for the love of the game, we're in the era of clout chasers and monetizers, just like the near-entire rest of the internet. Couple this with how hard Nintendo and TPC are bringing down the hammer on leakers nowadays to show that you REALLY shouldn't go so far as to dump and upload the ROM, and people aren't very incentivized to just drop the full product into our hands given the sheer legal risk and the fact they have to resist the temptation to plaster their identity all over it in order to soak up the credit and attention for being the brave soul who leaked the rom.
>>58378890If I knew a store that would break street date, I'd go for it myself and just get a refund later since I don't really WANT these games. Just get it over with and have fun, y'know?Unfortunately, I do not know any stores that will break street date for me, and also Gamestop hasn't hired my ass yet either so there goes that.
being split into switch 1 and 2 versions means less chances for somebody who is able to dump getting their hands on the game with the right version (1 in this case)
>>58378877Attention whoring subhumans whoring for attention and stupid faggots too afraid of Nintendo's eagerness to sue everyone into the ground right now.
Genuine curiosity because I haven't been following the Switch 2 hacking scene. But have hackers got cartridge dumping to work on the Switch 2 yet? We're waiting for the Switch 1 dump and I feel like the sort of people who have the connections to get early copies are mostly on Switch 2 right now
>>58378877IIRC people became a bit more hesitant to upload the files prerelease after Nintendo actually retaliated over TotK. Most S1 releases since then have leaked pretty close to the official release date, but it may just be coincidence.
Why do you need a leak so badly anyway? The game will be out in four days, just fucking wait a bit. If you want to pirate it you'll still be able to do it.
>>58378908So, it'll probably take 1-3 years for dumps to be particularly useful since they'll still be encrypted and we haven't broken the encryption yet, but yeah technically we DO have successful cartridge dumping already. The MiG Switch exists.
>>58378915I see, thanks anon
>>58378877each game has a unique code. They'd be able to trace who leaked it
>>58378936Unironically this, they're dead fucking serious about tracking leakers for major releases after the Tears of the Kingdom shitshow. As it turns out, taunting one of Japan's most powerful companies by going "LOL WE CRACKED UR NEW GANGBUSTER AND HAVE IT RUNNING ON EMULATOR BETTER THAN REAL HARDWARE xDDDDDDDDD GET FUCKEEEDDDDDDDDDDDD" is not a good idea.
>>58378923Oh yeah, I forgot about >>58378936. They're tracking who's got what game. I'm not really worried about this though, because we'll probably have a key generator or some other spoofer that can thwart this. It'll just take a fair bit of time. We're unfortunately not dealing with the Wii, a paper clip isn't enough anymore.
>>58378911That's certainly a factor. People would before have no problem leaking, but Nintendo actually doing something in response changes things. So that then limits the people bothering to leak to those who both get a copy, and either still don't care or actually know how to keep good opsec, which is very low.
>>58378901Switch 2 editions run on Switch 1.
>>58378890>>58378902can't summarize it better
>>58378890Sadly this
