WTF IS THIS FUCKING SHIT
>>58384361Makes sense they are finally nerfing switching.Stall was too powerful otherwise.
>>58384361>My actions have consequences? I should be able to switch all the time!
>>58384361SWITCHFAGS BTFO FOREVERIALLY
damn, pokémon finally forcing people to think
>>58384361The battles are THREE MINUTES LONGYou're planning to switch more than ONCE PER MINUTE???
>>58384383Its not "finally nerfing switching" its just a different ruleset for a completely different battle system. You cant treat real time cooldown based battle systems with dodging and shit as anything comparable to the rules of turn-based ones.Switching is limited in PLZA for the reasons we saw from demo gameplay: Its a stall tactic and a bit broken, using it to wait out poison for example.
>>58384361The game is real time.
>>58384361Based, they should add this to the main games.
>>58384361good, makes sense in an ARPG
>>58384361Switching needs to be nerfed across the board, not just ZA. Switching needs to be completely neutered in the mainline games
>have infinite switches>switch out every single time your mon is at low HP to avoid giving your opponents points
It's to stop everyone from endlessly switching mons to counter each other and actually fight.
>>58384361About time they did this…
>>58384361Uh-oh stinky!!
>>58384361Holy based!!I hope this gets introduced to mainline gamesI'd love this on showdown
>>58384438Wouldn't it be better to put a cooldown of a few seconds?
>>58384361Switching in singles is bad enough without hazardsIf there wasn't a limit on switching here it would literally just be both players constantly cycling through their roster to get out of a disadvantageous match up
>>58384501If battle timers are 3 minutes long, what would you even set the cool-down to that is not just long enough to effectively be 3 times per battle or too short to break up the pacing on a tight round timer. Remember it's a completely different battle system too, switching sounds more like tagging in a tag fighter than the traditional context we view it as.
When the battle is in real time, does using a pokemon with a large body count as an advantage or a disadvantage?
>>58384361Based. Get fucked and think up a better strategy than switching out.
>>58384361someone tell how long seasons last so I know when chesnaughtite will be available
They should have limited the switching to 2.
They should have deleted switching period. Only cowardly virgins engages in switching
You guys realize this is a completely different battle system that plays completely differently from the mainline games right
>>58384888>large bodyIs it finally Onix's time to shine?
>>58384361My guess is that switching unironically gives your mons iframes, and they decided to keep that in as a handicap for scrubs.
>>58385577I don't care I need something to be outraged at
>>58385577I hope it becomes the new standard. Chess with extra steps has become super gay
>>58385631It won't. Realtime battles are already proving frustrating for the lowest common denominator who've been able to play in previews, they'll be exclusively relegated to sidegames and side modes, likely appearing in Gen 11 as an expansion of the Let's Go overworld mechanics (not 10 though, because remember, LZA and 10 were developed concurrently, therefore they can't lift too much from each other just like how LZA was developed concurrently alongside the SV DLC, thus there's missing data from SV DLC additions.)
>>58385631The new system will likely be clunky and extremely homogenous. I haven't heard many good things from people who played it
