Damn

I'll probably be remembered as a retard for even suggesting this but I'm not sure this is that incredible? Zygarde's big thing before was Thousand Arrows which it's objectively worse at doing now, plus it's slightly less bulky too. And didn't Core Enforcer only get boosted if you went second? Speaking of boosts, you're still relying on Dragon Dance for Speed buffs (I'm assuming 216 Special Attack means you won't need to buff it, which is good because it can't otherwise)

The core and cell have dex icons, what does this mean
Also do we know how Power Construct and mega Zygarde interact yet?

>do we know how Power Construct and mega Zygarde interact yet?
Probably not at all. I bet that even the doggo will mega evolve into the gundam.
>>
>need to be complete before it can mega evolve
It is shit

216 special attack is so huge, almost nothing wants to switch in on this thing. It's far from unstoppable, but you can't really stop it from punching a hole through something if you can't kill it in one hit, which is very fucking hard given it has 216/91/85 bulk.
This Z-shaped fuck can enter in on a M-Ray, and outduel all its' commonly ran set with the one exception of Outrage choice band Adamant.
Your best bet is primal kyogre that has a 94% chance to OHKO it on the Ice beam. (Mewtwo wants to Mega Y or specs to reliably OHKO this horror on Ice beam).
To give a fair comparaison, Zygarde has a 10% chance to 2HKO physically defensive Ho-Oh, which is enormous given that the fat bird has 106/154 special bulk. (I mention physically defensive Ho-Oh because it's by far its' most prevalant set).
Its' matchups against the steel birds is bad unless you run Focus blast.
I don't believe it's going into Mega-Ray prison, because fug is allowed to hold items. If Mega Zygarde could hold a scarf/specs, that'd be a different story.
But as it stands, the existence of mega-zygarde just means you live in terror until you know what its' set is. You just play a very dangerous coinflip if you're facing a Zygarde 50%.
>Is it a regular physically bulky zygarde? A dragon dancing one? Is it going to glare, coil, D-Dance? Is it going to mega evolve and just Core enforce?
Again, it's not M-Ray, but it just open up a whole new bag of mindfuckery when Zygarde already could ruin your life if you guessed wrong what is on the lottery.

How does being able to mega only after Power Construct effect it?
>>
>>58388353
Zygarde FINAL has a move that would hurt Xerenas regardless if typing after all these years
FUCK ORDER HAS FINALLY BEEN RESTORED
>>
>>58385262
Lost DD and Coil, ogre.

It becomes then significantly more manageable.
Without having to wait for Power construct, M-Zygarde could duel the two most common xerneas set (scarf and Modest Power herb) by eating the first moonblast then sludge waving + extreme speed, or sludge wave, geomancy, extreme speed for both sets respectively.
The range of ice beam users able to take it down before it runs rampant also widens considerably.
I could see people running substitute/rest to really take advantage of it's enormous bulk and dip into power construct range more safely, but then the issue of moveslots become a huge problem : it cannot use thousand arrows as an "answer to everything" option anymore. It wants Core enforcer and Earth power, but sludge wave is incredible and extreme speed is good for picking off things that can survive it's hits (like Xerneas).
Power construct dependency basically means that it's less of a nuclear swiss knife, and just a ticking time swiss knife that gives existential dread in the teambuilder for whoever uses it (because it WILL get walled by something due to 4MSS) and whoever faces it (which Zygarde is the one staring down at me).

>>58388732
Both of these moves just aren't in Z-A period, anon.
>>
>>58386986
Power construct and aura break are implemented as different forms. 0 is aura break 50%, 1 is aura break 10%, 2 is power construct 50%, 3 is power construct 10%, 4 is 100%, 5 is Mega. Or maybe the orders are switched but it's the same idea.
>>
>>58388848
Ooooh, neat, didn't know that. Thanks.

>>58388811
Since now we know that is has to activate Construct first, I feel like that'll limit it. It's not hard to outspend it and KO it once it's already at half HP. I think it'll be a threat but not played much.
>>
So what's it gonna run in online (be it showdown or champions)? Core enforcer, earth power, sludge wave and... focus blast? Or grass knot depending on what it wants to hit most? It can't learn any move to boost SpA and a rest set would be weird without leftovers so I can't see it doung anything other than 4 attacks.

Neither DD or Coil is in the game.
Just wait for Champion.
>>
>>58389176
I feel like the first three slots are locked with what you've said, and you then you choose between focus blast, extreme speed, or glare.
Grass knot's only noteworthy catch over just spamming core enforcer is primal kyogre, and it doesn't net the kill anyway (but it takes like 90% from it).
Without E-speed a lot of the fat Uber/bulky mons survive at 10% HP.
Without Focus blast, you just get laughed at by ferrothorn or a Steel bird.
>>
>>58389176
I'll amend what I said there >>58389333 as there's a genuine possibility that the new cracked dragon move mentioned here >>58388353 is what Core Enforcer transforms into after Zygarde Mega-evolves. It just means that you have to switch in a steel type or get obliterated.
It also means Sludge wave is much less necessary than believed : it's still a cool option to do massive damage and poison, but it's also walled by steel types.
