it was pretty obviously legit as soon as Mega Dragonite was revealed, although I still saw people denying it at that point. what's more surprising is that the leaked images of Mega Starmie, Zygarde and Meganium were legit. those definitely could have been faked based on the leaked descriptions, but nope they were real.
