i've been enjoying the combat so far (just unlocked mega evolution) but there are a couple annoyances
>you can have your mons dodge attacks but there's no dedicated dodge command, so you have to just move out of the way - the problem is your mons only loosely follow you once you haven't given them a command in a few seconds, so you don't have 100% control over getting them to strafe out of the way of stuff. it's not unmanageable there's just a learning curve
>ranged attacks will be blocked by some of the stupidest shit sometimes. tiny trees, the edge of a raised platform, etc etc. your mons make no effort to actually attain LoS before attacking. but it doesn't happen frequently enough to be a major asspain

No, SWSH's Wild Area was huge. Like a demo version of SV's open world. But the Pokemon were just objects you ran into to start battles, they didn't really "exist" on the overworld like they do in SV/Legends.

Surprised with how little you people are talking about the how much moves were change to fit the new combat system, moves no longer have an accuracy, moves that usen to affect accuracy now either lower speed on in the case of smoke screen are utility moves for outsides battles, roll out now deal fixed damage but it also an physical attack with a dash that hit everything in a straight line, low bp moves comapsate the low damage with lower cooldowns making them easier to spam.

Learning this new combat system is gonna be so fun.

You get cut off by a message indicating the Battle Zone is either active or innactive and a cutscene showing a fenced off section of the city where the ZA Royale will take place during that night. This happens every day and the location changes every day

Toxic is so op in this game, just apply toxic and bait the pokemon until it dies even if it's an alpha pokemon, and you can get a bellsprout early in the game and a leaf stone, so at the beginning you can get a victrebeel with toxic.
